My name is Kimberly, I am a former volunteer firefighter & first responder, and I’m also a service dog handler. When I first started on the journey of being a service dog handler I discovered there weren’t many resources available to someone like me. I kept thinking throughout the next several years “Someone should change this”.

Throughout those years I realized & learned from other handlers there is a lack of education about service dogs. I believe this has led to many businesses not understanding not only their rights but also the rights have those using task-trained service dogs, and yet again I thought “Someone should change this”. Finally, in 2023 I realized plenty of people I’ve spoken to have thought this but no one has stepped up to the task, so I decided to create Courageous K-9s.

After a few bumps and turns Courageous K-9s LLC was officially created in June 2023 and now the real challenge starts. I appreciate any support, especially word of this company and our mission being spread around.
